The Uniontown Area District Council is comprised of representatives from nine conferences in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. The district council is part of a much larger international organization but is governed locally by dedicated volunteers familiar with the needs of the community.

To provide for those in need in the community the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (Vincentians) operate thrift stores selling recyclable clothing, furniture and goods at reasonable prices. The funds generated from the store operations assist people with a variety of food, clothing, and other solutions to emergency needs. In all cases, Vincentians seek to aid the needy on a person-to-person basis. If unable to help then normally we refer them to other organizations within Fayette County that are established to provide specific types of help.
